The Lab Operation Tech role at Actalent involves coordinating lab instrument services, managing work orders, and supporting inventory management within a laboratory setting. Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of lab instrument services including PM, calibration, repairs, and moves with scientists and vendors.
• Generate work orders in the computerized maintenance management system and track them to completion.
• Update work order details and maintain detailed comments throughout the work order lifecycle.
• Gather vendor service reports and provide support with inventory management and CMMS system upkeep.
• Assist with routine reports detailing work order volume and compliance with completion by due date.
• Manage and track lab instrument service contract renewals.
• Assist with complaint management and vendor escalations.
• Provide vendor escorting support and understand customer requirements.
• Coordinate semi-annual Pipette Clinic and assist with service contract coverage recommendations and negotiations.
• Maintain professional relationships with team members, customers, and service providers.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
• Provide compliance and quality system management support to ensure audit readiness.
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and identify process improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• BA degree in the life sciences or 2-3 years of lab operations experience.
