Responsibilities

• Manage the operations of the assigned laboratory department.
• Conduct high-complexity laboratory testing and ensure accurate results.
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of Williamson Health.
• Interact professionally with laboratory personnel, physicians, and patients.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform quality control and instrument maintenance.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing education for staff.
• Communicate critical lab values to nursing and physicians promptly.
• Cultivate a teamwork environment focused on patient care and accurate results.
• Review pending reports and resolve outstanding specimens.

Requirements

• BS degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent.
• Valid State of Tennessee Medical Technologist license.
• State of Tennessee Supervisor's license (must obtain within a year).
• Minimum of four years of laboratory experience.
• Management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical laboratory science and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Meditech experience preferred.
