About the position
The position involves admitting patients and processing specimens and orders in the appropriate Laboratory Information System (LIS). The role requires ensuring proper patient identification and labeling of all specimens, as well as rejecting specimens according to established policy. The individual will operate the pneumatic tube system, prioritize specimens into routine and stat categories, centrifuge and aliquot specimens according to tests ordered, accurately label all tubes, deliver specimens to laboratory areas, and properly store all specimens. Additionally, the position includes communicating test results to physicians and faxing results upon request. Compliance with all regulatory and infection control guidelines is mandatory. The role may also involve performing phlebotomy, morgue duties, and waived or moderately complex testing as needed and approved by the Medical Director.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- No experience required; comprehensive on-the-job training provided.
