About the position

The Lab Technician I at Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is responsible for analyzing products and certifying contaminant levels according to customer specifications. This role requires operating various analytical instruments and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in a structured laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze products from packages and/or processes and certify individual critical contaminant levels as specified within customer specifications.
• Operate different analytical instruments such as ICP-MS, GC's, FTIR's, and process analyzers.
• Ensure timely throughput of product through the lab work queue.
• Accurately input and document analytical data into necessary logs.
• Report problems with analytical instrumentation and assist in repairs.
• Conform to ISO 9001:2008 directives and adhere to calibration requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives of analytical process systems.
• Support investigation of production defects and assist the Quality Team in controlling non-conforming material.
• Adhere to safety policies and report any observed hazards.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in a technical field.
• Experience in laboratory operations within a production plant environment in a quality assurance function preferred.
• Ability to support the department towards defined production and quality goals.
• Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Ability to plan and carry out laboratory schedules independently.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with analytical instrumentation in a laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with safety policies and procedures in a lab environment.
