The candidate must be an experienced Windows system administrator, comfortable working within a team to perform a wide range of system administration activities. These activities include the management, maintenance, and security of network infrastructure and servers for Windows 10/11 machines. Additionally, implementing security measures such as firewalls, regular security patches, and updates to safeguard the servers is a critical part of the role. The primary work location will be at the Government Site in Laurel, with occasional travel to the lab within a 10-mile radius about 2-3 times a week. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and fifteen (15) years of system administration experience, or twenty (20) years of system administration experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. The candidate should have experience as a Windows System Administrator, knowledge of Windows Server Upgrade Service (WSUS), and experience with networking switch programming. A willingness to learn and develop a strong understanding of the products and technologies is essential, along with experience in developing and updating technical documentation.
