About the position

The Labeling Specification Specialist is responsible for creating, reviewing, and managing labeling for medical products, ensuring compliance with medical, legal, and regulatory standards. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders and offers a hybrid work environment, with onsite presence required 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Create, review, and reproduce text required for labeling medical products.
  • Ensure that labeling art meets all medical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and recommend improvements to labeling processes, quality systems, tools, and policies.
  • Deliver and manage assigned projects, working with other stakeholders to achieve desired results.
  • Act as a mentor to colleagues or direct the work of lower-level professionals.
  • Set objectives for your job area to meet project and assignment milestones.
  • Make adjustments or recommend enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness.
  • Communicate primarily and frequently with internal contacts to share information, status, needs, and issues.
  • Provide regulatory input and guidance on changes to currently marketed products and new product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with no experience.
  • Experience with medical package labeling.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Experience with PLM systems such as Enovia, Windchill, or Agile.
  • Basic understanding of package label requirements for medical devices.
  • Ability to interact with internal marketing, R&D, QA, and project managers.
  • Previous experience in the development of package labeling designs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the development of labeling for the medical device industry is preferred.
  • Practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within the job area.
