About the position

The Labor and Employee Relations Business Partner at Veralto is responsible for managing complex employee relations matters, conducting sensitive investigations, and providing strategic guidance to HR and business leaders. This role emphasizes maintaining a positive labor relations environment and involves training, coaching, and collaboration with various business units to enhance employee engagement and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead highly complex and sensitive investigations into employee relations matters, including discrimination, harassment, and policy violations.
  • Identify innovative solutions to business challenges by gathering and analyzing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing detailed investigation reports.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on conflict resolution and workplace conduct.
  • Provide guidance and support to management on labor relations issues, including union organizing campaigns and grievance resolution.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand challenges and opportunities within assigned business units and act as a trusted advisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in labor and employee relations roles, with a track record of conducting complex investigations and delivering training programs.
  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as experience working with labor unions and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Professional certifications such as SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are a plus.
