The Labor and Employment Attorney/Vice President of Operations will serve as an in-house attorney for a security guard company based in Los Angeles, CA. The position may be part-time or full-time, and the candidate will also play a crucial role in developing a new HR/Legal software business aimed at mitigating labor lawsuits for California companies.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on employment and labor law matters.
• Assist in the operational management of the security guard company.
• Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and employee management processes.
• Manage payroll and policy editing/creation.
• Negotiate contracts related to employment and operations.
• Contribute to the development of HR/Legal software for labor law compliance.

Requirements

• Must have a valid California Bar license.
• Experience in employment and labor law, particularly in California.
• Ability to work in the field and at various locations as needed.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in managing or overseeing operational aspects of a business.
