About the position

The Labor and Employment Paralegal will support attorneys in various aspects of employment law, including litigation, compliance, and case management. This role requires a detail-oriented and motivated individual who can assist in the preparation of legal documents and conduct legal research on employment law issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research on employment law issues, regulations, and case law.
• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Prepare summaries of depositions, interviews, and other legal proceedings.
• Draft correspondence and communicate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
• Assist in the investigation of facts and evidence related to employment law cases.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure timely filing of documents with courts and agencies.

Requirements

• Experience as a paralegal, preferably in employment law.
• Strong understanding of employment law concepts and regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Spanish language proficiency is preferred.
• 4 years of experience in employment & labor law is preferred.
