About the position

The Labor/Non-CDL Driver position at Waste Management involves safely operating a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on designated routes. The role emphasizes compliance with safety regulations and efficient route management while ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a heavy-duty truck on designated routes.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
• Report any unsafe situations or service calls to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required.
• Work closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify unsafe accounts.
• Assist other company drivers as directed by the Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Notify the Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager.
• Ensure all containers are dumped and the customer location is clean and free of debris.
• Complete and submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal.
• Position containers properly on customer property to avoid blocking entrances or traffic.
• Follow route assignments and complete all documentation at the end of the route.

Requirements

• Current state-issued standard Drivers License
• Acceptable driving record required.
