About the position
The General Labor position at Aerotek in Airway Heights, Washington, involves various tasks related to the handling and processing of steel plates in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
- Lift up to 75 lbs regularly and work comfortably at heights
- Collaborate in a team environment to stack and organize steel plates
- Read blueprints and perform general layout using tape measure on structural steel assemblies
- Operate a 4-1/2” grinder to remove rust and mill scale before welding
- Train on forklift and overhead crane operation
- Operate CNC machines including robotic welders, plasma tables, and brake presses
- Support shop flow by managing parts and tracking them via tablet software
- Pull parts and place them in bins according to bill of materials
- Coordinate and manage cut-to-size plate processing in the machine shop
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working at heights
- Basic understanding of blueprints and measurements
- Experience operating grinders and CNC machines
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with forklift and overhead crane operation
- Familiarity with tablet software for tracking parts
