About the position

The Laboratory Analyst position at Arkema involves performing quality testing on raw materials, intermediates, and final products using analytical methods and instrumentation. The role requires proficiency in analytical procedures, routine quality control, and participation in special projects, all while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical procedures proficiently and interpret the results.
  • Conduct routine quality control and process control testing.
  • Participate in special projects related to quality testing.
  • Perform adhesives performance testing accurately and timely.
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous lab wastes safely.
  • Maintain inventory of reagents and gases.
  • Utilize the iLIMS for database documentation.
  • Provide and track lab training for staff.
  • Maintain clean and safe work conditions, reporting issues to management.
  • Perform housekeeping duties according to the ZIC program.
  • Participate in developing ways to optimize plant processes and chemistry.
  • Attend seminars, conferences, and training programs as requested.
  • Enter data into SAP as required.
  • Understand ISO standards and participate in annual internal auditing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent laboratory experience.
  • Experience with NIST standards and calibration procedures.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts or other hours as required.
  • Computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Statistical Quality Control (SQC).
  • Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 50 pounds.
