About the position

The Laboratory Analyst II position at Threshold Enterprises Ltd is a journey-level role responsible for evaluating, inspecting, and testing raw materials and finished goods using laboratory analysis equipment and procedures. This role involves implementing new lab methods, performing laboratory testing, and assisting with interdepartmental Quality functions. The Laboratory Analyst II is expected to coordinate projects, provide training, and troubleshoot lab equipment while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, inspect, and test raw materials and finished goods using laboratory analysis equipment.
  • Implement new laboratory methods and procedures.
  • Perform laboratory testing and assist with interdepartmental Quality functions as needed.
  • Coordinate projects and daily sample flow, ensuring timely completion of assignments.
  • Provide training and guidance to Laboratory Analyst Is.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Assist QC Management with scheduling and training of laboratory staff on analytical procedures.
  • Review analytical test results and data, recommending dispositions for materials as needed.
  • Participate in the maintenance of supply needs and order supplies as necessary.
  • Contribute to and maintain spreadsheets and databases related to laboratory activities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years lab experience).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to lift 30+ pounds.
  • 20/20 vision or corrected vision.
  • At least 1 year of applied experience in HPLC, TLC, FTIR, UV-VIS, GC, GC-MS, ICP/ICP MS, or LC-MS instrumental analyses for Laboratory Analyst II.
  • Demonstrated project coordination and management experience with leadership skills for Laboratory Analyst II.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in QC or inspection, analytical laboratory experience using HPLC, TLC, GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP-MS, FTIR, UV-Vis spectrophotometric, microbiological, and/or general analytical laboratory techniques.
  • Experience in a dietary supplement/GMP environment.
  • 2-5 years of experience in an analytical laboratory in at least three of the specified techniques for Laboratory Analyst II.
  • Experience using advanced Excel for reviewing and creating relevant metrics, graphs, and reports.
