About the position
The Laboratory Analyst position at Bureau Veritas involves preparing and analyzing a variety of client samples using analytical chemistry methodologies and various spectroscopic instruments. This role is essential for maintaining the quality and accuracy of laboratory results in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Preparing samples, standard reference materials, reagents, and/or solutions.
- Maintaining a clean and well-organized work area.
- Performing and documenting routine maintenance and calibration of instrumentation.
- Documenting/recording raw data and results of analyses.
- Executing analytical procedures in accordance with the appropriate regulations.
Requirements
- B.S./B.A. degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of previous analytical chemistry laboratory experience.
- Experience in a GLP/cGMP and ISO regulated environment (preferred).
- Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and technical writing abilities.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and interpret mathematical relationships.
- Willingness to learn in a team-based environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a group.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to see small objects and handle them appropriately.
- Basic computer skills.
