About the position

The LIMS Developer (The Data Custodian) is responsible for designing and implementing Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) that enhance laboratory operations. This role involves collaborating with scientists and IT specialists to create software solutions that streamline data management, ensuring accurate and secure handling of laboratory data. The developer will focus on optimizing workflows, integrating systems, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, ultimately transforming how laboratories manage and analyze their data.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement LIMS software tailored to laboratory needs.
  • Collaborate with lab teams to optimize workflows and ensure user-friendly solutions.
  • Integrate LIMS with laboratory instruments and external software systems.
  • Implement security measures to protect laboratory data and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop custom reporting and data visualization tools for real-time insights.
  • Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and training for LIMS users.
  • Stay updated with advancements in LIMS technology and laboratory practices.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in designing and developing LIMS systems or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or Perl.
  • Deep understanding of laboratory workflows and data management needs.
  • Experience in integrating LIMS with lab instruments and third-party applications.
  • Knowledge of data security protocols and regulatory requirements.
