The Laboratory Seasonal Laborer position at Aqua America, Inc. involves supporting laboratory operations by preparing glassware, assisting with sample processing, and maintaining cleanliness in the laboratory environment. Responsibilities

• Preparing glassware and sample bottles for all sections of the laboratory following specific protocols
• Assisting laboratory staff with filing of sample reports, log-in of samples, sorting of samples, packing, and unpacking coolers
• Cleaning sample bottles/vials and operating dishwasher as needed
• Verifying sample pH and turbidity
• Replenishing instrument water reservoirs as needed
• Preparing buffer solutions

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in science, preferably in chemistry or biology
• Interest in a high-volume environmental laboratory learning environment
• Desire to learn about different methods, procedures, and techniques for analyzing drinking water and wastewater
