Responsibilities
- Process and analyze patient samples.
- Monitor quality control (QC) and ensure all instruments are maintained properly.
- Perform department procedures and demonstrate sound laboratory techniques.
- Read and follow departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Demonstrate proficiency in judging the acceptability of quality control results.
- Communicate sample issues within and outside the department to support proper client communication.
- Participate in internal and external proficiency testing.
- Demonstrate proficiency in performing maintenance on equipment in the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or other life sciences required.
- Basic laboratory techniques within Chemistry or Microbiology.
