Responsibilities

• Process and analyze patient samples, monitor quality control, and ensure all instruments are maintained properly.
• Perform department procedures and demonstrate sound laboratory techniques.
• Read and follow departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Demonstrate proficiency in judging the acceptability of quality control results.
• Communicate sample issues within and outside the department to support proper client communication.
• Participate in internal and external proficiency testing.
• Demonstrate proficiency in performing maintenance on equipment in the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or other life sciences required.
• Basic laboratory techniques within Chemistry or Microbiology.
