About the position

The position involves representing the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics". The role actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values". Responsibilities include assembling and disassembling refinery equipment, performing duties within a precise limit or standard of accuracy (Quality Control), and potentially working from drawings and blueprints. The candidate must proficiently run several types of equipment such as forklifts and manlifts, and be prepared to perform Turnaround duties when required. The role requires the ability to work independently after being properly directed by a foreman, as well as leading helpers and laborers through the job safely. The candidate must know how to select the proper tools and equipment to complete a job, work well with supervision, and may be required to train and supervise apprentices. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics".
  • Support the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values".
  • Assemble and disassemble refinery equipment.
  • Perform duties within a precise limit or standard of accuracy (Quality Control).
  • Work from drawings and blueprints as required.
  • Proficiently run several types of equipment (forklifts, manlifts, etc.).
  • Perform Turnaround duties when required.
  • Work independently after being properly directed by a foreman.
  • Lead helpers and laborers through the job safely.
  • Select the proper tools and equipment to complete a job.
  • Work well with supervision.
  • Train and supervise apprentices as required.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Zero (0) to four (4) years in refinery maintenance experience.
  • Participation in the apprenticeship program for up to four (4) years.
  • Understanding of refinery maintenance type work and knowledge of basic hand tools.
  • Completion of Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training, and Client/Site specific training.
  • Pass background check.
  • Obtain and maintain an active status within the appropriate drug testing program.
  • Possess a TWIC card.
  • Have a 20-hour high hazard facility training card.
  • Produce a High School diploma or GED and have a valid driver's license.
