About the position
The Village of Lincolnwood is seeking a Public Works Laborer to perform various maintenance tasks related to the Village's trees, alleys, and landscapes. This full-time position involves operating motorized equipment and requires heavy physical labor. The role is on-call for emergencies and requires a high school diploma and a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance on the Village's trees, alleys, and landscapes.
- Operate motorized equipment as required for maintenance tasks.
- Be available for on-call duty for emergencies as determined by the Director of Public Works.
- Complete specific work assignments provided on a daily basis, which may be rotated.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six months of hire.
- Experience in Public Works operations.
