About the position

The Laborer at The Associated Construction Company is responsible for performing a variety of skilled tradesman tasks on construction projects, primarily in carpentry. This role involves installation duties, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Laborer will also be evaluated on performance metrics such as productivity, punctuality, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform metal framing, drywall, and taping.
• Install doors, frames, windows, and hardware.
• Conduct wood blocking and wood framing tasks.
• Handle millwork and wood trim installations.
• Install acoustical ceilings and toilet accessories.
• Work with wood and synthetic siding, and roof shingles.
• Set up safety barriers and guards.
• Carry out demolition tasks as required.
• Complete all other tasks and duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Three years of relevant trade experience or completion of ACC's apprenticeship training program.
• Graduation from a trade school preferred.
• Valid OSHA 10 hr., CPR, and First Aid Certificates (to be obtained within the first 3 months of employment).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Strong math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Good working knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with general contracting work is preferred.
