About The Position

This position is for a Laborer at the Bay Breeze Golf Course located at Keesler AFB, MS. The role is flexible, guaranteeing 0 hours but allowing for up to 40 hours of work per week. The Laborer will perform various maintenance tasks related to golf carts and the golf course grounds.

Requirements

• Ability to use, control, and clean common hand tools and simple power equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
• Physically able to frequently lift and carry medium to heavy objects up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform simple golf cart maintenance, including replenishing fuel/charge levels and washing carts.
• Prepare golf carts for customer use and mark the course for cart control.
• Move cart control barriers and replace worn or lost ropes and signs.
• Maintain ball washers and replace tee towels and flags as needed.
• Remove debris, empty garbage containers, and clean flowerbeds.
• Assist in the maintenance of course grounds and facilities using powered equipment such as clippers and weed trimmers.
• Dig ditches and holes for plants, irrigation systems, and tee boxes.
• Fill holes with dirt and level bumps using shovels, hand tampers, and rakes.
• Perform other related work as assigned.
