About the position

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for Laborers - Movers/Special Events to support our government customer located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This position involves various tasks including manually moving stock and materials, loading and unloading equipment, and setting up or breaking down tables and chairs for special events. The role requires following directions from supervisors and government leadership while also being able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct various tasks including manually moving stock and materials.
• Load and unload equipment and furnishings.
• Set up and break down tables, chairs, and ancillary items.
• Follow directions from Supervisor and Government Leadership.
• Operate trucks, forklifts, and tools for logistics tasks.
• Pick up and deliver materials and equipment within a 30-mile radius.
• Perform Tool Crib & Supply Room Duties, tracking tools and supplies by Army Regulation.
• Support excellence in customer service to internal and external customers.
• Identify safety concerns and maintain safety standards.
• Handle and transport materials and equipment for offices and special events.
• Assist with monthly data reporting for Facilities, Warehouses, and Equipment Management.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite while performing job duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Active CLASS C Driver's License or higher required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Laborer/Moving Experience required.
