About the position

The LAFC Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the practice, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery. This role involves performing diagnostic procedures, managing medical supplies, and supporting administrative functions while fostering communication between various healthcare entities. The Practice Manager also plays a key role in staffing recommendations and maintaining compliance with medical record-keeping laws.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
  • Document patient care given.
  • Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain examination areas.
  • Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
  • Support integration and encourage communication with other offices and healthcare entities.
  • Recommend staffing levels and prepare work schedules.
  • Provide daily oversight of support staff to ensure smooth provision of care and service.
  • Help prioritize daily work and assist office staff as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of legalities of medical record-keeping and monitor compliance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment are required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a stressful environment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within ninety (90) days from hire.
  • Current in all existing certifications required for the position.
