About the position

The Lakeview Center Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a crucial role in fostering positive relationships with customers by providing essential information about district programs and events. This position involves processing activity registration requests in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring that all interactions reflect the values of the Wilmette Park District. As a part-time role, the CSR is expected to deliver excellent customer service, addressing inquiries both in person and over the phone. The CSR will be responsible for providing information to the public regarding programming at Gillson Park and throughout the District, which includes processing registration requests for various activities such as lessons, facility rentals, beach/pool passes, dog beach passes, and parking passes. In addition to customer interactions, the CSR must comply with established Park District and site procedures, actively support the agency's risk management protocols, and adhere to safety regulations. This includes attending required safety trainings and promptly reporting any unsafe actions or conditions to the immediate supervisor. The CSR may also be required to perform other related duties as assigned based on the agency's needs, making flexibility and adaptability key components of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information to the public regarding programming at Gillson Park and throughout the District.
  • Process registration requests for lessons, activities, facility rentals, beach/pool passes, dog beach passes, and parking passes.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing the needs of customers in person and via phone.
  • Comply with established Park District and site procedures.
  • Actively support the agency's risk management protocol that will effectively control and reduce accidents.
  • Obey the practical safety rules, regulations and procedures established by the Safety Committee, attend and participate in required safety trainings.
  • Promptly report all unsafe actions, practices or conditions to the immediate supervisor.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, based on agency needs.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • At least two (2) years related experience preferred.
  • Ability to deliver information in a clear and effective manner.
  • Ability to use computers and recreation software.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with experience using RecTrac software.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Basic mathematical skills required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
