About The Position
The Land Acquisition Analyst position at KB Home is a critical role responsible for conducting comprehensive research and analysis to support the acquisition of land assets. This position involves managing land data and underwriting packages to maximize the profitability of both existing and proposed land assets. The analyst will work closely with the Land Acquisition team to prepare financial proformas that assess the viability of potential land acquisitions, ensuring that all financial aspects are thoroughly evaluated. This includes maintaining financial proformas post-acquisition to enhance the performance of existing communities and reporting on actual performance metrics. In addition to financial analysis, the Land Acquisition Analyst will assist in market analysis by preparing tools and reports that detail resale and new home activity, including volume, pricing, and days on market. The analyst will also conduct competitive market analyses and track sales and closing trends to provide valuable insights into the housing market. Utilizing market research software such as Marketsight and Metrostudy, the analyst will create reports that define competitors and market conditions. The role also involves supporting the Land Committee by preparing detailed Land Packages with relevant data for submission to the Corporate Land Committee, seeking approval for real estate transactions. The analyst will be responsible for preparing necessary forms for wire transactions related to acquisitions. Additionally, the analyst will assist in the annual preparation of the Market Strategy report, contributing to the overall strategic planning of the Land Acquisition team.
