About the position

The Land Acquisition and Development Internship at Meritage Homes offers a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the homebuilding industry. Interns will learn about the land acquisition and development processes, including market research, financial analysis, and community development. This full-time summer internship aims to develop future leaders by providing hands-on experience and exposure to various departments within the company, while also allowing interns to contribute to real-world business challenges and strategies.

Responsibilities

• Learn the land acquisition and development process, including searching for and underwriting land.
• Conduct market research and financial analysis.
• Participate in cross-functional projects with other interns and business leaders.
• Present business recommendations to senior leadership.
• Write a paper focusing on the internship experience or another assigned topic.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program from a regionally accredited university or college.
