About the position

The Land Acquisition Internship at Meritage Homes offers a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the homebuilding industry while gaining hands-on experience in land acquisition processes. Interns will learn about searching for land, underwriting, and the closing processes, all while participating in cross-functional projects and presenting business recommendations to senior leadership. This full-time, in-person internship is designed to develop future leaders who can contribute to the company's growth and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Learn the land acquisition process including searching for land, identifying land, underwriting, and closing processes.
• Conduct market research and financial analysis related to land acquisition.
• Participate in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders.
• Present real-world business recommendations to senior leadership.
• Write a paper focusing on the internship experience or another assigned topic.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in a degree program from a regionally accredited university or college.
