The Land Acquisition Manager at Concord Hospitality Enterprises is a pivotal role focused on identifying and securing new land development opportunities to support the company's growth strategy. The role involves conducting market analysis, managing a pipeline of land opportunities, and collaborating with various stakeholders to facilitate successful land transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Explore new and potential opportunities of land transactions in targeted markets.
  • Conduct market analysis and feasibility studies to assess site viability.
  • Organize and deliver KPI metrics to the Senior Director of Extended Stay Development.
  • Manage future land opportunity pipeline and follow up on missed opportunities.
  • Cultivate relationships within the industry, including brokers and city officials.
  • Research zoning and land use codes to analyze site viability and timelines.
  • Analyze site characteristics and communicate construction challenges.
  • Assist in due diligence and site investigation tasks as needed.
  • Attend and represent the company at city meetings.
  • Research and understand market trends and growth opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing decision support through data analysis and market assessments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-5 years' experience in civil engineering or commercial land development.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with land sales sources and real estate agencies.
  • Understanding of construction and cost of land development.
  • Basic understanding of government operations related to real estate and land use development.
  • Self-starter with initiative to innovate and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand market and business intelligence.
  • Ability to analyze risk and make informed decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated business development and financial skills.
  • Good computer skills in SmartSheet, Google Maps, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
