About the position
The Land Acquisition Manager will be responsible for managing multiple residential land acquisition projects simultaneously, engaging with landowners, negotiating purchase agreements, and maintaining strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires a proactive approach to sourcing properties, conducting valuations, and coordinating with various teams to ensure successful acquisitions that align with the company's goals.
Responsibilities
- Prospect land with residential development potential.
- Engage with land owners, vetting interest in selling and negotiating land purchase agreements.
- Take appointments with interested sellers to move them to an LOI and ultimately an executed PSA.
- Coordinate with legal to navigate complex land acquisition agreements negotiations.
- Assist in underwriting, due diligence, and entitlements as necessary through closing.
- Maintain relationship with land owner throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Requirements
- 3+ years of direct experience in Land Acquisition Management in the residential land development industry.
- Previous direct employment with a homebuilder/land developer.
- Master negotiator with the ability to create win-win deals.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and high energy.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, Google Suite, and CRM software systems.
