About the position

City Ventures is seeking a highly motivated Land Acquisition Manager/Director to procure new land acquisition opportunities for residential and mixed-use projects in Southern California. The role involves managing all aspects of site acquisition, including sourcing, analyzing, negotiating, and consummating transactions, while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Procure new land acquisition opportunities for ground-up development of residential and mixed-use projects.
• Manage all aspects of site acquisition including sourcing and identifying development opportunities.
• Analyze and underwrite projects to structure deals effectively.
• Negotiate contracts and consummate transactions with landowners and stakeholders.
• Participate in due diligence and project entitlement activities as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, urban planning, real estate development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of real estate acquisition or development experience.
• Strong knowledge of land use and real estate development in California.
• Proficient understanding of Excel and financial pro forma analysis.
• Excellent organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced degree in a related field is welcome but not required.
