About the position

The Land Acquisition Manager is responsible for locating, researching, and contracting new land suitable for acquisition and development. This role plays a crucial part in the homebuilding process by ensuring that the company secures the right properties to meet its development goals. The position involves market research, negotiation, and coordination with various stakeholders to facilitate land acquisition and entitlement processes.

Responsibilities

• Locate land suitable for acquisition and development by conducting necessary market research and due diligence.
• Determine land values in the specific market by checking like property sales through public records, developers, and other professional affiliates.
• Negotiate and contract land acquisition.
• Coordinate land entitlement and planning activities with Development personnel.
• Coordinate governmental review processes.
• Review and monitor purchase agreements.
• Coordinate joint venture agreements or joint venture management agreements, as appropriate.

Requirements

• Experience in land acquisition and development processes.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to assess land values.
• Knowledge of market research methodologies and due diligence processes.
• Ability to coordinate with governmental agencies and internal teams.
