About the position

The Land Acquisition Manager at PulteGroup is responsible for identifying, researching, and contracting new land suitable for acquisition and development. This role plays a crucial part in the company's mission to build consumer-inspired homes and communities, ensuring that the land acquired meets market needs and aligns with the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Locate land suitable for acquisition and development by conducting necessary market research and due diligence.
• Determine land values in the specific market by checking like property sales through public records, developers, and other professional affiliates.
• Negotiate and contract land acquisition.
• Coordinate land entitlement and planning activities with Development personnel.
• Coordinate governmental review processes.
• Review and monitor purchase agreements.
• Coordinate joint venture agreements or joint venture management agreements as appropriate.

Requirements

• Mid-level leadership experience in land acquisition or a related field.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in contracting land acquisitions.
• Ability to conduct market research and due diligence effectively.
• Familiarity with governmental review processes and land entitlement activities.
