About the position

The Land Acquisition Manager will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and securing prime land purchase locations for home building communities. This position involves negotiating land acquisitions, conducting financial analyses, and participating in due diligence processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local land market dynamics and be able to adapt acquisition strategies to current trends.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside marketing and production team members to complete land feasibility studies
• Negotiate directly with land owners to secure prime sites at the best price
• Provide accurate timing for the proposed development analysis
• Work with the development team to ensure efficient use of land and cost-effective completion of a finished lot
• Understand and oversee site development, including local zoning, planning, and pricing
• Work with marketing team members to monitor competitive local home building and prices
• Arrange lot development
• Represent NVR in the local community

Requirements

• 2-4 years successful land acquisition experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Real Estate finance experience
• Skilled in land deal structuring
• Ground in land planning, zoning, law, and real estate
• Homebuilding industry experience, a plus
