About the position

As a Land Acquisition Manager, you will work with our industry-leading home building team to identify, assess, and secure prime land purchase locations for our communities. This role involves negotiating land acquisitions, performing sophisticated land use and financial analysis, and participating in due diligence processes. Successful candidates will understand the dynamics of the local land market and demonstrate strategies to adapt acquisition efforts to current trends.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside marketing and production team members to complete land feasibility studies
• Negotiate directly with land owners to secure prime sites at the best price
• Provide accurate timing for the proposed development analysis
• Work with the development team to ensure efficient use of land and cost-effective completion of a finished lot
• Understand and oversee site development, including local zoning, planning, and pricing
• Work with marketing team members to monitor competitive local home building and prices
• Arrange lot development
• Represent NVR in the local community

Requirements

• 2-4 years successful land acquisition experience
• Bachelors degree
• Real Estate finance experience
• Skilled in land deal structuring
• Background in land planning, zoning, law, and real estate
• Homebuilding industry experience, a plus
