The Land Acquisition Manager will play a crucial role in leading the land acquisition efforts for a top 5 homebuilder in the Nashville market. This position focuses on establishing relationships with landowners and brokers, gathering essential site information, and maintaining a tracking log of viable tracts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential land acquisition and a commitment to fostering a positive culture within the team.

Responsibilities

• Contact landowners in specific target areas directly through various means such as in-person visits, phone calls, and letters of interest.
• Utilize online appraisal district maps and municipal maps to gather information on specific sites, including utilities, zoning, topography, and entitlement status.
• Maintain a tracking log of viable tracts and comparable transactions.
• Follow municipal agendas weekly to identify active projects and acquisition opportunities for various types of lots.
• Contact brokers regarding their listings and gather pertinent information.
• Establish relationships based on integrity with landowners, brokers, municipal employees, engineers, developers, attorneys, and land planners.
• Attend networking events to generate new contacts and source deals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction, or planning preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in residential land acquisition.
