About the position

The Land Acquisition Manager at Lennar is responsible for managing the division's land acquisitions program, fostering positive relationships with land sellers and the brokerage community. This role involves strategic planning, negotiation, and compliance monitoring to ensure effective land acquisition processes that align with the company's objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of business plan strategies for land acquisition.
  • Prepare and periodically update annual objectives, budgets, and schedules for assigned programs.
  • Lead land acquisition negotiations and administer purchase documentation, financial analysis, and due diligence processes.
  • Prepare periodic reports on deal status versus business plan assumptions.
  • Develop and maintain a historical land acquisition database.
  • Formulate division land acquisition processes and procedures to ensure effective land prospecting and coordination with other Lennar entities.
  • Assist in the preparation and control of division land acquisitions budgets and administer related vendor contracts.

Requirements

  • Four (4) to six (6) years of experience in land acquisition, marketing, or administrative positions with residential or land development firms.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in marketing, business, real estate, or a related field.
  • Excellent human relations skills with the ability to negotiate and influence others.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to achieve objectives with minimal supervision and be detail-oriented.
  • Computer literacy, especially in word processing, spreadsheet analysis, project scheduling, and data management software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic knowledge of sales/negotiating principles and real estate practices.
  • Experience in consulting firms serving real estate industry clients.
