About the position

As a Project Engineer specializing in Land Development, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and engineering of various land development projects. This position requires a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, particularly as they relate to site planning and development. You will be responsible for overseeing the grading, water distribution, roadways, stormwater calculations, and utilities for a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, retail, institutional, and recreational facilities. Your expertise will be essential in designing multi-acre developments, which includes conducting due diligence, navigating the permitting process, and managing limited contract administration tasks. In this role, you will analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and aerial photography, as well as other topographical or geologic data to effectively plan and execute projects. You will also be tasked with researching and ensuring compliance with City, State, and Federal codes, which is critical for the successful completion of projects. Additionally, your responsibilities will extend to estimating project costs, scheduling tasks, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities

  • Site planning, design & engineering of land development projects
  • Grading, water distribution, roadways, stormwater calculations & utilities for residential, commercial, retail, institutional & recreational facilities
  • Design multi-acre retail, commercial & residential development including due diligence, permitting, and limited contract administration
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects
  • Research City, State & Federal codes
  • Other duties include estimating, scheduling, coordinating, etc.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of civil engineering experience, specifically in land development projects
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or on track to obtain it
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
