About the position

The Project Engineer for Land Development will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and engineering of various land development projects. The engineer will be responsible for grading, water distribution, roadways, stormwater calculations, and utilities for a range of facilities including residential, commercial, retail, institutional, and recreational sites. The role involves designing multi-acre developments, which includes conducting due diligence, obtaining necessary permits, and managing limited contract administration. In addition to technical design work, the Project Engineer will analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and aerial photography to inform project planning. This position also requires research into City, State, and Federal codes to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle. The engineer will be expected to engage in estimating, scheduling, and coordinating various aspects of the projects, ensuring that all elements are aligned for successful execution. Responsibilities

  • Site planning, design & engineering of land development projects
  • Grading, water distribution, roadways, stormwater calculations & utilities for residential, commercial, retail, institutional & recreational facilities
  • Design multi-acre retail, commercial & residential development including due diligence, permitting, and limited contract administration
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects
  • Research City, State & Federal codes
  • Other duties include estimating, scheduling, coordinating, etc.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of civil engineering experience, specifically in land development projects
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or on track to obtain it
  • Proficiency in AutoCad Civil 3D
