About the position

Jax Dirtworks Inc is looking for an experienced Land Survey CAD Drafter to join their team in Atlantic Beach, FL. The role involves creating accurate as-built plans and processing survey data using AutoCAD Civil 3D. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of land surveying principles and practices, along with strong CAD drafting skills.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate as-built plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D based on field survey data
• Process and interpret survey data and field notes for input into AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Draft various types of surveys including as-built, boundary, and topographic surveys
• Generate CAD surface models and 3D terrain models
• Prepare construction staking data and point files for field crews
• Research land records and monument records to support survey projects
• Collaborate with Professional Land Surveyors and field staff to interpret project requirements
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a CAD drafter in land surveying
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with experience in land survey-specific software preferred
• Strong understanding of land surveying principles and practices
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and legal descriptions
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Associate's degree in drafting, land surveying, or related field preferred
