About the position

The Party Chief plays a critical role in overseeing surveying projects and ensuring the accuracy and quality of data collected in the field. This position requires a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, surveying techniques, and the ability to lead a team effectively. The Party Chief will utilize advanced technology and tools, including CAD software, Trimble equipment, and GPS systems, to execute surveys and deliver precise results.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage survey crews in various field projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.
• Conduct surveys using advanced equipment such as GPS, Trimble, and Carlson systems to gather accurate data.
• Interpret survey data and prepare detailed reports that include geometry calculations and mathematical analyses.
• Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to develop project plans and specifications based on survey findings.
• Train and mentor junior staff on surveying techniques, equipment operation, and data collection methods.
• Maintain equipment in good working order and ensure all tools are properly calibrated for accurate measurements.
• Review project plans for compliance with local regulations and standards in civil engineering.

Requirements

• Proven experience in surveying or a related field with a strong understanding of geometry, algebra, and math principles.
• Proficiency in CAD software for drafting and design purposes is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Trimble surveying equipment and GPS technology is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail to ensure high-quality results.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
