About the position

Haley Ward is seeking an aspiring Project Manager to join their team as a Land Surveyor / Project Manager. This role involves planning, organizing, and coordinating project activities to ensure successful completion while adhering to guidelines set by the Regional Survey Manager and/or Division Director. Responsibilities

  • Directs others toward preparation of a professional, economical, and effective product for each individual project.
  • Works closely with personnel from other departments as necessary to ensure fulfillment of contract requirements.
  • Manages a project team and multiple projects.
  • Manages contract budgets and estimates to completion and updates as conditions change.
  • Communicates scope of work changes with clients, including project schedule and budget impacts, and requests client approval before authorizing or performing such out-of-scope work.
  • Prepares project proposals including scope of work, time, and estimated manpower.
  • Serves as a mentor and Supervisor (as assigned) for junior and mid-level staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Surveying Engineering (or equivalent) or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of ten years of surveying experience.
  • Ability to and interest in managing projects.
  • A working knowledge of modern survey techniques, and computer programs is required.
  • Registration as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) in Florida, or ability to attain within 1 year, is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license & reliable transportation required.

Nice-to-haves

  • An advanced degree in the area of work specialization is desirable.
  • Candidates who are currently registered as a Land Surveyor-in-Training (LSIT) are encouraged to apply.
