About the position

The Surveying Sidekick position involves assisting a Professional Land Surveyor in various surveying tasks, primarily focused on staking out oil and gas wells, engineered pads, roads, pipelines, and powerlines. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors with advanced surveying technologies, including GPS equipment and drones, while contributing to the data collection process for engineering design.

Responsibilities

• Assist in staking out oil and gas wells, engineered pads, roads, pipelines, and powerlines.
• Utilize GPS equipment for data collection in various terrains.
• Operate a total station to gather data for engineering design.
• Download data into Trimble Navigation software and transfer it into AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Potentially operate drones and work towards obtaining FAA Part 107 certification.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Approximately 48 months of field experience in surveying or related work.
• Completion of two years of college or technical schooling related to surveying.
• Valid driver's license required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AutoCAD is essential.
• Knowledge of Trimble Business Center and GPS equipment is a plus.
• Possession of an LSIT certificate is advantageous.
