About the position

The Landfill Compactor Operator is responsible for operating heavy machinery, specifically the Compactor Tractor, to compact trash in a landfill setting. This role requires a skilled operator who can maintain safety standards while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Compactor Tractor in the Landfill and compact the trash
• Inspect the machinery before and after use to ensure it is in good working condition
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor immediately
• Perform routine maintenance on the machinery as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating heavy machinery
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
