About the position

The Landscape Account Manager is responsible for overseeing commercial maintenance crews, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and managing client relationships. This role involves training, sales, and customer service, with a focus on maintaining and enhancing the company's landscape services across various commercial properties. The position requires a proactive approach to leadership and quality control, as well as the ability to manage a significant book of work valued at 1-2 million dollars.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee, direct, and coordinate multiple crews.
• Run morning huddles, safety meetings, and training.
• Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and a positive attitude at all times.
• Manage customer service and sales on 1-2 million or more in book of work.
• Upsell enhancements and other install work to commercial clients.
• Oversee all sold jobs and ensure company quality standards are met on each property.
• Build relationships with the current client base to gain more clients.
• Conduct safety meetings as needed either on-site or at the shop.
• Assist with training of all crew members on maintenance equipment/company standards and safety.
• Manage and train a production manager.
• Address and handle any maintenance concerns/problems with crew members.
• Hold all team members accountable.
• Inspect all vehicles/equipment weekly to ensure proper functioning.
• Manage commercial maintenance properties and coordinate all property visits to ensure work is to company standards.
• Provide quality control for maintenance properties and ensure properties are serviced to company standards.
• Adjust irrigation timers and perform minor irrigation repairs.
• Identify weeds and turf issues and create a plan to resolve them.
• Mix chemicals as needed.
• Be available to work 6:00 am to shop closing M-F.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial Landscape Account Manager experience from a verified company.
• Ability to safely and effectively perform all aspects of landscape maintenance work including mowing, blowing, pruning, edging, line trimming, etc.
• Ability to identify common turf types, shrubs, trees, annuals, perennials, weeds, pests, and diseases.
• Knowledge to price all types of enhancements to commercial clients such as drainage, lighting, irrigation, tree work, flowers, rebuilds, etc.
• Physically able to perform tasks related to landscape maintenance (lift 50 lbs).
• Valid Driver's License with a valid 3-year driving record.
• Background check required with drug test.
• Irrigation and drainage knowledge.
• Mechanical knowledge and ability to fix/keep equipment running efficiently.
• Ability to use computers and software at a high and proficient level.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Leadership skills and the ability to motivate others.
• Accountable for own actions and the ability to hold others accountable.
