About the position

Hollander Design Landscape Architects is seeking a skilled and creative Landscape Architect / Designer with over 4 years of professional experience to join our New York Office. We are a nationally-recognized design firm known for our exciting projects that span a wide range of scales, including large country estates, urban rooftops, parks, historic properties, and selected commercial and institutional sites from the Hamptons to Hong Kong. Responsibilities

• Manage or contribute to complex projects from schematic design through construction documentation and implementation.
• Engage in high-end, single-family residential design, urban private rooftops, or small-scale commercial development.
• Demonstrate strong organization, written, and verbal communication skills throughout project phases.
• Exhibit technical strength in grading and construction details.
• Utilize strong hand rendering and digital graphic skills to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Proficiently use AutoCAD v2013, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and Microsoft Office Suite in project work.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture or design.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited landscape architecture program.
• Experience managing or contributing to complex projects from design through implementation.
• Demonstrated organization, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Technical strength in grading and construction details.
• Strong hand rendering and digital graphic skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD v2013, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Lumion, Rhino, or other 3-D rendering programs.
• A working knowledge of plant material.
• Professional licensure.
