About the position

The entry-level Landscape Architect / Designer at PEA Group assists senior staff with various landscape architecture projects. This role involves preparing concept plans, site plans, construction drawings, and presentation graphics, while collaborating on designs for diverse projects such as healthcare facilities, urban plazas, and residential developments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with senior staff on design packages for various projects.
• Analyzes data on site conditions for environmental reports or landscaping plans.
• Integrates existing and proposed land features into designs.
• Prepares plans using CAD software.
• Selects appropriate materials for landscape designs.
• Analyzes environmental reports on land conditions.
• Assists in the preparation of landscape plans and construction drawings.
• Coordinates project drawings and calculations with engineers and designers.
• Communicates with project team members and client representatives.
• Manages time effectively and organizes multiple projects to meet deadlines.
• Visits project sites to review conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
• 0-2 years of experience in preparing design documents for site development projects.
• Working knowledge of landscape and native plants in the Midwest region.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and Sketchup.
• Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound business judgment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with environmental reports and site analysis.
• Familiarity with construction site inspections.

Benefits
