About the position

The Landscape Architect Project Manager will lead and manage multidisciplinary landscape architecture projects across the Southeast, focusing on creating resilient and equitable spaces such as parks, trails, and urban plazas. This role requires a dynamic individual with 8-12 years of experience who is passionate about transforming communities and making a positive impact through innovative design. The position involves collaboration with various professionals, client engagement, and contributing to a culture of design excellence within an employee-owned firm.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Landscape Architecture and multidisciplinary projects throughout the Southeast
  • Plan, design and build resilient and equitable spaces (parks, trails, streetscapes, plazas, memorials, campuses, and athletic amenity complexes)
  • Assist with RFQ/RFP responses and interviews to help secure new work and meet booking/revenue goals
  • Design iconic landscapes and contribute to a growing practice in Landscape Architecture regionally
  • Collaborate with resilience planners, environmental engineers, and other disciplines to deliver transformative projects that promote equity, health and wellness, and sustainability
  • Manage, maintain and seek out clients and project leads
  • Contribute to an upbeat, respectful, diverse and talented culture of design excellence

Requirements

  • Landscape Architecture degree required
  • Licensure (Registered Landscape Architect)
  • 8-12 years' experience required
  • Strong writing skills related to scope development, technical approaches, concept statements, emails, and reports
  • Strong communication skills related to explaining complex ideas in a simple manner, schedule/task management, coordination with team members, client engagement, and securing work
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects on-time and on budget
  • Operating knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and other digital rendering software (Rhino, Lumion, SketchUp, etc.)
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude capable of managing multidisciplinary design teams and mentoring younger staff

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in landscape architecture
  • Relationships with state/local municipal clients, institutional clients, and partner consulting firms
