Our portfolio primarily focuses on higher education projects, but we also engage in a diverse range of projects that vary in size, scale, and subject matter. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscape Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing outdoor spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of landscape architecture principles and will be adept at working closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences. This role requires a proactive approach to managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that each project is delivered on time and within budget. The Landscape Architect will conduct site visits to assess and document the condition of the land and existing infrastructure, design comprehensive landscape plans using software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Civil 3D, and collaborate with clients to bring their vision to life. The role also involves preparing and negotiating contracts, overseeing the construction and installation of landscape features, and ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and regulations. The successful candidate will utilize Revit to create detailed and accurate drawings and models of landscape designs, while maintaining a high standard of quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Conduct site visits to assess and document the condition of the land and existing infrastructure.
- Design and develop comprehensive landscape plans and designs using software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Civil 3D.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and preferences, and to identify potential issues or concerns.
- Illustrate design concepts and communicate them effectively to clients and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and negotiate contracts with clients and contractors.
- Oversee the construction and installation of landscape features, including irrigation systems.
- Utilize Revit to create detailed and accurate drawings and models of landscape designs.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of the work and ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
- Professional licensure as a Landscape Architect (LA) or the ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
- Strong understanding of landscape architecture principles and practices.
- Proven experience in landscape design, construction, and management.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Civil 3D.
- Ability to illustrate design concepts and communicate them effectively to clients and other stakeholders.
- Experience with contract negotiation and management.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and the ability to design and install them effectively.
- Familiarity with Revit and the ability to create detailed and accurate drawings and models of landscape designs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
