About the position

The Landscape Architecture Designer II at AECOM is responsible for supporting the urbanism practice across various public and private sector projects in Florida. This role involves performing architectural and engineering calculations, preparing specifications and reports, and maintaining communication with design and drafting teams. The designer will work under the guidance of a Supervising Architect, handling technical assignments and coordinating activities with other disciplines. The position also includes opportunities for training and evaluating junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Support AECOM's urbanism practice on public and private sector projects in Florida.
  • Perform basic architectural and engineering calculations.
  • Prepare specifications, reports, and related data tables.
  • Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups.
  • Prepare, review, and approve drawings as required.
  • Coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines.
  • Assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience or equivalent education.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License and ability to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in landscape architecture and urban design in Florida.
  • Experience with municipal, county, or state clients, as well as institutional and transportation entities.
  • 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
